Atlanta Hawk point guard Mookie Blaylock was taken to the hospital Thursday night and may be suffering from anemia, the team announced.

Blaylock attended the Thursday morning shootaround but was not feeling well. It was feared he was anemic, so he was taken to Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta for tests.

Blaylock was not at Thursday night’s home game against the Milwaukee Bucks, won by the Hawks, 84-81.

New Jersey Net all-star center Jayson Williams, the NBA’s second-leading rebounder, was activated from the injured list after missing six games because of a strained abdominal muscle.

Williams rejoined the struggling Nets for their 93-87 loss to the Orlando Magic at East Rutherford, N.J., on Thursday night. He scored six points and had 10 rebounds.

He strained the muscle during a 94-91 loss to the New York Knicks on March 3. Since then, the Nets have lost nine of 10 games.

Williams, 29, returned to share time in the pivot and play alongside center Rony Seikaly, who was acquired from the Magic on Feb. 19.

He was named to the all-star team this season for the first time in his eight-year career. He is averaging 13.1 points and 13.7 rebounds, second only to six-time rebounding champion Dennis Rodman.
