Carjacking Victim Resists Attack, Is Shot by Gunman
A man who was shot and wounded while resisting a carjacking near Hollywood was listed in stable condition at a hospital, police said Tuesday.
“He didn’t want to give up his car,” said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Sam Barron.
The shooting occurred Monday about 11 p.m. in the 400 block of North Sycamore Avenue, he said. The victim, whose name was not released, was approached and ordered to surrender the keys to his late-model Ford Bronco. The victim tried to escape but was shot twice in the lower body by the gunman, who fled on foot, police said.
