City to Take Services to World Wide Web
The city will place a World Wide Web page online this spring.
Information on elected officials, city business and statistical information should become accessible with a mouse click by May 15, the tentative launch date.
Residents can send e-mail to members of the City Council and all city departments. Plans eventually include electronic acquisition of building and business permits and other services.
Officials earmarked $4,200 for the project. An outside consultant, Millenia Internet Services Inc., was hired to put the page online.
An address for the site will be announced closer to the launch date.
