Individual tickets for the first two rounds of the playoffs will go on sale Sunday at 10 a.m., the Kings announced Thursday. Random priority numbers will be issued beginning at 9 a.m. at the Great Western Forum parking lot. Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster outlets or by calling (213) 365-3600.

The Kings’ penalty-killing unit has not been getting the job done lately. The two first-period power-play goals by San Jose on Thursday night marked the fifth consecutive game that an opponent has registered a goal with a man advantage.

San Jose, which began the game with the 22nd-ranked power play in the league, scored four power-play goals in three games against the Kings in the last 11 days.

In 70 games this season, the Kings have given up 52 goals short-handed, good to be ranked 15th in the league.

The Kings will begin a six-game trip in Calgary on Saturday and injured players Ray Ferraro (knee), Matt Johnson (biceps), Nathan LaFayette (post-concussion syndrome) and Doug Zmolek (shoulder) are expected to travel and could be back in the lineup before the team returns to play Edmonton at the Forum on April 9. . . . Former King and current Shark center Bernie Nicholls recorded his 1,200th point when he got an assist on former King Tony Granato’s first-period goal.
