Cpl. Connolly Named Police Officer of Year
Police Cpl. Sean Connolly will be named officer of the year by the Los Alamitos Area Chamber of Commerce at an April 8 ceremony.
Connolly joined the department in 1994 as a police officer and was promoted to corporal in 1996. He advises the Police Explorer program and volunteered to help organize a citywide apartment owners association.
Also being honored are Phil McElroy, reserve officer of the year; Susan Brown, civilian employee of the year; Det. Ron Chamberlin, merit award; Officers Phil Arnold and Dave Dorrans, partners of the year.
The Police Appreciation Lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the Los Alamitos Community Center, 10911 Oak St. Tickets are $22 at the chamber office, 3231 Katella Ave.
