Those NFL Executives Must Know the Block
Every time I read another T.J. Simers account of pro football in Los Angeles, I can’t help but hear the Three Stooges’ theme.
Leading the cast is the straight man, Councilman “Moe” Ridley-Thomas, who actually has a plan, yet, as Simers puts it, has “beaten back all the local challengers.”
Then there was Councilman “Larry” Holden, who, like a child, ran to the side of Al Davis for the return of Raider football.
Lastly you have Councilman “Curly” Hernandez, who pulled off the ultimate knucklehead routine by taking on Peter O’Malley.
I cannot believe NFL officials look at this group with straight faces as they present their positions.
Could Simers be the fourth Stooge? Nyuck, nyuck.
