MacMillan’s Home Runs Propel Northridge
Chris MacMillan hit a three-run home run in the eighth inning, his second of the game and ninth of the season, to give Cal State Northridge a 14-11 victory over Nevada on Monday at Reno.
Darren Dyt, Mike McNeely and Eric Horvat also homered for the Matadors (20-17), who won their seventh in a row.
Master’s 3, Chapman 1--Ruben Escobar pitched a three-hitter to improve to 8-0 in a nonconference victory at Master’s.
Chris Kollman drove in one run with three hits and Luke Kollman singled and doubled for Master’s (22-5).
SOFTBALL
Paraclete 4-3, Notre Dame 4-2--Amanda Wachsmuth of Paraclete (2-3-2) had four hits in the second game of a nonleague doubleheader at Lancaster.
Wachsmuth, who had two doubles and a triple, drove in the winning run with a single in the eighth inning of the second game.
The first game was called after seven innings.
BOYS’ TRACK
El Camino Real 106, San Fernando 21--Quincy Wright won the 100 meters in 11.4 seconds, the 200 in 23.8 and anchored the victorious 400 and 1,600 relay teams for the Conquistadores (3-0, 3-0) in a Northwest Valley Conference meet at El Camino Real.
GIRLS’ TRACK
El Camino Real 111, San Fernando 12--Jamie Newman won the 800 in 2:37.0, the 1,600 in 5:36.1 and the 3,200 in 12:54.8 for the Conquistadores (2-1, 2-1) in a Northwest Valley Conference meet at El Camino Real.
HIGH SCHOOL GOLF
Hart 327, Newbury Park 360--Ryan Wyman shot a two-under par 59 for Hart (13-0-1) in the nonleague match at Vista Valencia Golf Course.
Wyman, a junior, had three birdies and a bogey.
Royal 420, Agoura 425--Roy Moon and Scott Fulkurson each toured the Camarillo Springs Golf Course with scores of two-over-par 74 for visiting Royal in a nonleague match.
