Marco Etcheverry scored one goal and assisted on another in the last four minutes to give D.C. United a 3-1 victory Saturday night over the Chicago Fire in a MLS game before 27,136 at Chicago.

The Fire played a man short the final 25 minutes after forward Roman Kosecki was ejected for violent conduct.

With the game tied 1-1, Etcheverry tried to pass to Richie Williams, but the ball instead rolled untouched past Fire goalie Zach Thornton. Two minutes later, rookie Ben Olsen headed Etcheverry’s cross past Thornton for an insurance goal.
