3.6 Quake Rattles Border Area Near El Centro
A magnitude 3.6 earthquake occurred early Sunday in the seismically active Imperial Valley, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The 1:23 a.m. quake was centered on an extension of the Elsinore fault system just over the Mexican border 18 miles southwest of El Centro.
It caused neither damage nor injuries.
