AFI Will Honor Director Miller

The American Film Institute will honor director Robert Ellis Miller by screening his 1968 film, “The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter,” during its third annual Classic American Film series, May 19 at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills.

Alan Arkin and Sandra Locke won Oscar nominations for best actor and best supporting actress for their work in the film.

Tickets to the tribute, which includes the screening and a dinner reception, are $100.
