A $10,000 reward is being offered by the House of Blues for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man who assaulted a woman as she entered a nearby garage after leaving the Sunset Strip club, officials said.
The man followed the woman to the parking structure just off Sunset Boulevard at 11:30 p.m. on April 27. He hit the woman on the head from behind, forced her to the ground and attempted to rape her, said David Petersen, public safety director for West Hollywood.
After the victim told him she was pregnant, the man stopped the assault, took her purse and fled from the garage.
Sheriff’s deputies said the suspect is a black man in his late 20s, about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, with acne scars on his cheeks and nose. At the time of the crime, he was wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt with red and black lettering.
Anyone with information about the crime can call Det. Linda Kniest of the West Hollywood sheriff’s station at (310) 855-8850.
