Placentia Police Seek Carjacking Suspects
Placentia police said they were still searching late Monday for two carjacking suspects who rear-ended a squad car and crashed into a house before escaping.
Officers made a house-to-house search, assisted by SWAT and canine units, in the La Joya area of the city but did not find two men suspected in a carjacking earlier in the day in Anaheim, Police Sgt. Gary Sprague said.
When Placentia officers attempted to pull over the suspects at 4:14 p.m., Sprague said, the driver hit a parked police car, then crashed into a house in the 900 block of Tafolla Street. The two suspects abandoned the car and fled on foot, he said.
