Brewers Put Fox on Disabled List

Milwaukee right-handed reliever Chad Fox will join starter Jose Mercedes on the 15-day disabled list because of tendinitis in his right shoulder, according to Brewer Manager Phil Garner.
Fox underwent a MRI exam in Milwaukee to determine what could be causing the problem with the shoulder.
Garner, with the team in St. Louis, was asked about suspicions that Fox might have a torn rotator cuff, and he replied, “Definitely not true.”
Fox, who has a 2.92 earned run average in 18 appearances, remained behind when the team left for St. Louis on Monday.
Mercedes went on the 15-day DL last week with a strained pitching shoulder after he gave up 12 runs in a loss to San Diego.
