Tony Cappuccilli

Edison, Junior; Baseball/Catcher

Cappuccilli continues to show that he’s one of the county’s top power hitters last week, leading Edison (16-8, 7-6) to two victories over Los Alamitos, bolstering the Chargers’ playoff chances. He hit two home runs, giving him seven this season. One was a two-run shot in the bottom of the eighth, erasing a one-run deficit. It helped the Chargers win, 13-12.

Randy Blood/Baseball/Infield

* Calvary Chapel, junior. Had eight hits, nine runs scored and five stolen bases in three victories to help the Eagles clinch the league title.

Sam Lightbody/Track and Field

* Huntington Beach, junior. He won the discus (172 feet) and shotput (55-1 1/2) at the Sunset League finals.

Brian Six/Golf

* Esperanza, junior. He shot three-under-par 140 to win the Sunset League individual title.
