Ice Dogs Fall in Series Opener

ROSEMONT, Ill. — The Ice Dogs watched Bob Nardella and Steve Martins score two goals apiece Friday night as the Chicago Wolves earned a 6-4 victory in the opening game of the best-of-seven International Hockey League Western Conference finals.
Martins, who opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 7:47 of the first period, scored what proved to be the game-winning goal at 11:55 of the third to break a 4-4 tie.
Patrik Augusta scored two goals for the Ice Dogs. Claude Jutras and Andrei Vasilyev also added goals.
