March Home Sales, Prices Up in Conejo Valley

There were 360 single-family homes sold in the Conejo Valley in April, compared with 351 in March and 309 a year earlier, according to the Conejo Valley Assn. of Realtors.

The median sales price for the single-family homes sold in April was $282,575, up from the April 1997 figure of $245,722. The median price is the point where half the units sold for more and half for less.

The median price breakdown in April was $193,330 for 22 homes with up to two bedrooms; $230,770 for 132 three-bedroom homes; and $323,210 for 206 homes with four or more bedrooms. Last year the figures were $158,000 for 21 two-bedroom homes; $214,102 for 110 three-bedroom homes; and $310,869 for 178 houses with four or more bedrooms.

There were 111 condominiums sold in the Conejo Valley in April, compared with 93 in March and 90 a year earlier.

Total sales for all real estate transactions in April was $142.25 million. A year earlier the total was $108.25 million.
