Touch of Elegance
A new ‘40s-style supper club is in the works at the old Sanctuary on Robertson. Owners Stephen Noriega and Ken Barnoski have big plans for the Art Deco “Pazanga,” where waitresses will wear evening gowns and old movies will be projected over a waterfall. Hard to picture, but Noriega promises it will be “fabulous.” . . .
A little birdie says “Grand Ville’s” boy wonder Rick Calamaro is co-hosting something new and very poolside at the Argyle on Saturdays. . . . Naked Hollywood is picking up where “Grand Ville” and “Michele’s Triple X” left off with “G Spot,” a new Friday night dance spot at the former Club Lingerie (“G Spot” comes with a midnight burlesque show, a la “Grand Ville” and “Michele’s”). . . . And the Key Club (Billboard Live’s new name) got an O.C. hookup when it hired Huntington Beach-area promoter Damian Brawner to breathe new life into the now, new club. Good bands are being courted.
