An administrator for an Orange County developer, Badger is making her first run for public office. She lives in Rancho Santa Margarita and was coordinator for an AIDS walk in Irvine in 1997.

* Career highlights: Co-chair, South Orange County Democratic Club; active with local charities for 12 years.

* Priorities: Reform California schools to improve student performance. Reform health insurance to expand services by health maintenance organizations. Promote after-school youth programs to improve quality of life.
