If you’re fed up with your current job or unemployed, possibly the best place you could be Wednesday is the 1998 Fall Job Fair at College of the Canyons.

Sponsored by the college, radio station KBET-AM (1220) and the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, this fall’s job fair is expected to be the largest to date, organizers said.

Nearly 4,500 people attended a similar event at the college in the spring, said Sandy Kingsley, career services director at the college.

More than 110 employers will be on hand to speak to and in some instances do spot interviews with prospective employees, Kingsley said.

“These businesses are at the job fair for one reason--they are looking for qualified people to enhance their companies,” Kingsley said. “This job fair is a communitywide event drawing employers from the Santa Clarita, San Fernando and Antelope valleys.”

Kingsley urged anyone who is either unemployed, under-employed or looking for a new career direction to take this opportunity to meet recruiters, who are looking for entry-level as well as mid- and executive-level employees. The fair will be from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at college, 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road.
