White Memorial Plans New Cancer Treatment Center
A Boyle Heights hospital will break ground at 2 p.m. today for the addition of a new cancer treatment center, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The addition to White Memorial Medical Center will provide patients with the latest radiation therapy, said Alicia Gonzales, White Memorial spokeswoman.
Because the hospital is undergoing renovations, the $110-million cancer center will not be completed until 2002, Gonzales said.
