Brea Olinda won its second straight Orange League title Friday at Glover Stadium with a 31-13 victory over Magnolia.

The Wildcats, led by running back Scott Lieng’s 138 yards rushing and quarterback Travis Blood’s two touchdown passes, earned consecutive titles for the first time in 35 years.

Late in the third quarter, following a nine-yard touchdown run by Magnolia’s Will Speer that closed the gap to 21-13, Lieng broke three tackles at the line of scrimmage and then outran the Sentinels’ defense en route to a 65-yard touchdown run.

“Scott is a winner,’ Brea Coach Jon Looney said. “He still isn’t 100% over his ankle injury and he’s been hobbling around, but he always finds a way to contribute.”

Brea (8-1, 4-0) scored first when Chris Sanford completed an 83-yard drive with an eight-yard touchdown run. On the Wildcats’ first play of the second quarter, Blood threw a 47-yard touchdown pass to Matt Winkler, giving Brea a 14-0 lead.

Two minutes later, the Wildcats increased their lead to 21-0 when Blood threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Roni Benigno.

Brea’s Jeff Marshall added a 35-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to complete the Wildcats’ scoring.

Speer finished the game with 136 yards rushing for Magnolia (4-5, 1-3).
