* Valley View Street: A $1,200 computer was stolen in a burglary reported Nov. 1 at 8:50 a.m. on the 9200 block.

* Avenida Sevilla: A petty theft was reported Nov. 1 at 3:28 p.m. on the 4000 block.

* West Wilson Street: A reported assault sent officers to the 500 block about 12:45 a.m. Nov. 1.

* Broadway: Officers responded to the 300 block about 12:10 a.m. Nov. 1 to check a public drunkenness complaint.

DANA POINT

* Del Prado Avenue: A report of a disturbance Oct. 28 at 9:57 p.m. on the 24000 block.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Perch Avenue: A dead cat was found hanging from a wooden fence by a cord around its neck in the 10500 block Nov. 2 at 7:30 a.m. Police officers did not know whether the cat died before or after it was hanged.

* Magnolia Street and Slater Avenue: A 41-year-old Fountain Valley man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after he was involved in an accident Nov. 1 at 12:38 a.m.

FULLERTON

* West Franklin Avenue: A white 1998 Toyota Camry was reported stolen Nov. 1 at 2:16 a.m. on the 3700 block.

* North Placentia Avenue: A petty theft was reported Nov. 1 at 2:26 a.m. on the 1600 block.

GARDEN GROVE

* Biscayne Boulevard: Two men were arrested after officers found several baggies of methamphetamine, scales and other drug paraphernalia Oct. 17 on the 11300 block.

* Lucille Street: A man was arrested in connection with felony assault and elderly abuse when police encountered an elderly man who had face and chest wounds Oct. 29. The man told police his stepson had assaulted him.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Lake Street: Officers responded to a complaint that someone was using a chain saw about 12:10 a.m. Thursday, possibly in Lake Park.

* Quail Circle: A caller said he heard someone open his screen door, then try the doorknob on his front door about 3:15 a.m. Thursday. But when he looked outside he didn’t see anyone.

IRVINE

* Irvine Center Drive/Sand Canyon Avenue: Construction workers found a lock cut off of their steel storage bin Oct. 12 at 7:47 a.m. and determined a loss of $13,070 in construction tools and supplies.

* South Colfax Street: Loud music was reported Nov. 1 at 1:08 a.m. on the 300 block.

* South Euclid Street: A vicious animal was reported Nov. 1 at 1:26 p.m. on the 1300 block.

LA PALMA

* Monterey Lane: A woman reported her dog was barking at something Oct. 19 at 4:04 p.m. in the bushes in the atrium in front of her home. It might have been an opossum.

* La Palma Avenue: Two cellular phones were reported stolen from a car Oct. 19 at 4:04 p.m.

* Kathy Drive: A gas cap and four hub caps were reported stolen from a car on the 4500 block Oct. 20 at 3:22 p.m.

* Emerald Drive: Sheriff’s deputies responded to an audible burglar alarm in the 1000 block about 10 a.m. Tuesday.

* Katella Avenue: Mysterious construction was reported at 5:04 a.m. Wednesday; it turned out to be the water company flushing out the water mains.

* Reagan Street: Police officers checked out reports of a suspicious white male who was sitting on a blue Honda at 2:03 p.m. Wednesday. He was spotted putting on a fake nose and walking into a post office.

* Bayside Drive: A man reported Tuesday that someone stole a Yamaha outboard motor worth $2,100 and a gray boat cover from his boat, after cutting a lock off a gate and entering the boat yard where he kept them.

* East Katella Avenue: A shoplifting incident involving $50 to $200 was reported at 4:55 p.m. Thursday.

* North Main Street: An assault with hands, fist and feet occurred in a nightclub in the 1000 block at 10:58 p.m. Thursday.
