The City Council will hold public hearings Tuesday to determine how Citizens Option for Public Safety funds will be spent. A 1996 California law set aside $100 million statewide for law enforcement use. The city proposes spending its share, $68,566, to continue paying for full-time lieutenant services and for overtime pay for bicycle patrols.
The council meets at 7 p.m. in council chambers, 25201 Paseo de Alicia, Suite 150. Information: (949) 707-2600.
