What’s happening the next few weeks:

* “Parade,” the theater event of the fall, opened for previews today. This new musical features a book by Tony-winner Alfred Uhry and music and lyrics by hot new composer Jason Robert Brown. Harold Prince directs the tale of Leo Frank, who was accused of killing a 13-year-old girl. Also involved in the production are renowned choreographer Daniel Ezralow and Tony Award-winning actor Brent Carver. Official opening is Dec. 17. * “Rendezvous: Masterpieces from the Centre Georges Pompidou & the Guggenheim Museums” includes more than 300 works by 150 artists representing Western art from about 1900 to 1970. The exhibition, which will fill the entire Guggenheim Museum, includes sculptures, drawings and paintings by Joseph Beuys, Jean Dubuffet, Max Ernst, Eva Hesse, Yves Klein, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso and Jackson Pollock, among others.
