A rally will be held tonight to raise $46,000 for Cal State Fullerton student Scott Burger, who hopes to undergo experimental neural transplant surgery. Burger, a senior and resident of Whittier, has Huntington’s chorea, an inherited brain disorder that affects the central nervous system. The surgery, which would replace lost neurons, is not covered by insurance. The rally will be held from 7:30 p.m. to midnight at La Habra Masonic Lodge, 1701 W. La Habra Blvd. Donations can be sent to Joyce Burger, 834 Danehurst St., Glendora, CA 91740.
