PLACERVILLE--This Gold Rush town will glitter on Friday, Nov. 27, but not with precious metal. At 6 p.m. townspeople will light the huge Christmas tree on Main Street, and 70 other trees will be lighted along Highway 50. Festivities, with music and refreshments, begin at 5 p.m. Free. SAN FRANCISCO--The Victorian Fantasy of Lights is the place to be Saturday, Nov. 28. The historic homes of Cow Hollow will come ablaze with about 500,000 lights at 5 p.m., followed by a Light Parade down Union Street. LEMOORE--The Christmas Open House and Street Faire on Sunday, Nov. 29, includes a tree-raising and lighting ceremony, holiday carols, food and craft booths, fire-engine rides and tours of the Sarah A.
