Finalists for High School Position to Meet Public
The public is invited to meet the five finalists for assistant principal of secondary student services at Chatsworth High School at a Tuesday campus meeting.
The finalists will give a short presentation on their qualifications and backgrounds. A question-and-answer session with students, school faculty and staff and community members will follow, said Assistant Principal Sharon Smith.
“They [students and community members] see us in a different light, as opposed to faculty and staff. So I think their input is very important,” Smith said.
The vacancy was created after the transfer of Donna Wyatt to Holmes Middle School in Northridge. Her transfer was required by the Los Angeles Unified School District when her husband, Dan Wyatt, was hired as Chatsworth High’s principal last month, Smith said.
The five finalists are Richard Christy, Chris Gonzales, Peter Misseijer, Mary Wilson Patrick and John Plezack. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the Oral Arts Room at Chatsworth High, 10027 Lurline Ave. For details, call the school at (818) 341-6211, Ext. 9000.
