Firefighters Group Plans Charity Ball
The Ventura County Professional Firefighters Assn. will hold its seventh annual Charity Ball on Saturday, again tapping Ojai Valley resident and actor Larry Hagman to serve as honorary chairman.
As in previous years, proceeds will be donated to the Alisa Ann Ruch / California Burn Foundation.
Over the past six years, the association--made up of about 360 Ventura County firefighters--has raised more than $60,000 for local charities.
The public is welcome to attend the ball at the Hyatt Plaza Hotel, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.
Tickets are $60 each and must be purchased in advance. For information, call Gillian Herson or Bettylou Martin at the association’s Camarillo office, 484-8844.
