The City Council last week awarded a $33,250 contract to an Ojai-based consulting group to study the Police Department. Organizational Effectiveness Consulting will analyze the Police Department’s policies, management and ability to meet service demands. The department has a staff of 55 sworn, 35 nonsworn and 23 volunteer personnel. The consultants will report to the City Council in February.
