In response to a recent deluge of complaints by walkers and joggers who use the city’s beaches and harbor, Sheriff’s Department deputies have handed out 16 citations to dog owners who broke laws prohibiting canines on beaches and harbor areas.
The response to the increased enforcement has been overwhelmingly positive, according to Chief of Police Services Lt. Paul Ratchford, who says people are telling him to “keep up the good work.”
