Dodgers Raising Prices as Much as $15 Per Seat

From Staff and Wire Report

The price of Dodger baseball is going up. Citing the need to generate additional revenue to help defray the cost of a player payroll that is expected to grow, the Dodgers are informing season-ticket holders that half the seats in Dodger Stadium will go up next season. The increases range from a few dollars per game to as much as $10 to $15 for dugout seats and the first four rows of field boxes.

All the seats affected are on the dugout, field or loge levels.

“Ninety percent of those seats [with the biggest price hikes] are owned by corporations,” said Dodger publicity director Derrick Hall. “We will work with any fans who feel they can’t afford their seats to relocate them.”

Those fans most affected by the change are being informed that they will get free membership in the Stadium Club, new more comfortable seats and periodic invitations to meet with club officials.
