Telecom Solutions Inc., the Lake Forest software maker, said Thursday that it has moved to fill its top executive positions after the recent death of its founder, Amrik Singh Poonian.
Phil Davis, executive vice president of the firm, has been named president and chief operating officer. Ladeira Poonian, Amrik’s wife and the company’s chairman, was named CEO. Both Davis and Ladeira Poonian will be involved in the company’s day-to-day activities, according to Telecom Solutions officials.
Amrik Poonian died Nov. 3 of a heart attack. He was 50. He founded TSI in 1986, originally focusing on telecommunication networks designed for manufacturers and assembly factories. Over time, the company shifted its focus to factory floor software, programs that could streamline and automate the manufacturing space.
