L.A. Teachers Certified by National Board

Forty-six Los Angeles schoolteachers have been certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching standards, created in 1987 to promote education reforms. To be certified, the teachers undergo an examination of their methods and successes. They also are tested on how much they know about the subjects they teach.
