“This Week in Garden Grove,” the city’s 30-minute cable news program, was named Best News Series by the Southern California and Nevada chapter of the National Assn. of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (SCAN/NATOA) last week. In the “Community Event Coverage” category, the city’s cable Channel 3A staff captured another first place honor for “Big Band Swing Time,” a program showcasing a local big band in concert. Garden Grove competed against over a dozen Southern California cities, including Los Angeles, Lakewood and Long Beach.
