Car Museum Closes After Building Sold
The Santa Paula Transportation Museum, a collection of vintage cars, has closed after its Main Street building was sold over the weekend. The museum had been open less than a year.
“We knew there was a possibility of this happening,” said Jennifer Heighton of Sespe Group, the museum’s public relations firm. She said the former Firestone tire building had been for sale “for a long time.”
“It was only a temporary setup, but it was kind of a neat place,” Heighton said. She did not know whether or where the museum might reopen.
The automobiles on display at the museum were lent by their owners.
