* Update--This pitching matchup is among the best all-time in the league championship series. Brown and Glavine are two of the leading candidates for the National League’s Cy Young Award. Brown went 1-0 with a 0.61 earned-run average in two starts against the Houston Astros in the division series, and he struck out 21 in 14 2/3 innings. His counterpart had a no-decision against the Chicago Cubs in Game 2 of the division series, but Glavine typically pitched well, giving up five hits and one run in 7 2/3 innings in a 2-1 victory. While with the Florida Marlins last season, Brown was 2-0 with a 4.20 ERA in two starts against Atlanta in the championship series. “It’s the postseason, everything is under the microscope, but the job remains the same,” Brown said. “You’ve got to go out there and pitch a good ballgame. You’re facing great pitching on the other side, you’re facing great teams this time of the year, so you just have to really focus and do your job.”
