* Kickoff: 7:15 p.m. Saturday, Fox Sports West.

* Story line: The winner strikes a major blow in the Pacific 10 Conference race. It’s an especially big opportunity for Arizona, which has already won at Washington, gets a UCLA team down several starters and follows this by playing Oregon State and Northeast Louisiana. UCLA, meanwhile, hopes to turn problems with injury and the suspension of Jermaine Lewis into a rallying point.

* UCLA update: The Bruins are trying to improve to 4-0 for the first time since 1988 and to 2-0 in conference for the first time since 1990. Cade McNown needs three touchdown passes to pass Tom Ramsey for the top spot on the UCLA career list.

* Arizona update: The Wildcats are 5-0 for the first time since 1993, all the more impressive because four of the wins have come on the road. Now, they finish with five of seven at home, including the two remaining opponents currently in the top 25, UCLA and Oregon. Dating to last season, Arizona has won nine in a row.

* Edge to Arizona: The injuries, the suspension and the Wildcats appear to be too much for the Bruins.

* Line: UCLA by 4 1/2.
