Gunny, Granada Hills Race Past Cleveland

Peter Gunny provided Granada Hills High with plenty of firepower Friday night as the Highlanders defeated Cleveland, 51-2, in a Northwest Valley Conference game at Cleveland.

Gunny returned punts for touchdowns covering 64 and 51 yards. He also caught six passes for 153 yards.

Granada Hills (5-0, 2-0 in conference play) was buoyed by a strong running game, led by Triston Frazier, who gained 124 yards in 10 carries and scored touchdowns on runs of 40 and three yards.

Omari Mack scored on a one-yard run and Clifton Blanchett added a five-yard touchdown run.

Jason Winn threw a three-yard touchdown pass to Tommy Garagliano.

Winn completed 13 of 28 passes for 237 yards with one pass intercepted.

Cleveland scored a safety when Winn was sacked in the end zone by Schauntte Parker on the first play of the second quarter.

Eddie Whitaker completed 11 of 37 passes for 131 yards and had two passes intercepted for Cleveland (1-4, 0-2).

Cleveland running back James Bethea gained 44 yards in 11 carries and caught four passes for 59 yards.
