Littlerock 38, Highland 17--The Lobos (6-0) capitalized on six Highland turnovers in a league opener at Littlerock.

Littlerock blew the game open in the second quarter when Richard Newton scored on runs of 14 and 38 yards in a span of 58 seconds, the latter coming two plays after Highland’s David Illingworth fumbled a kickoff at his 40-yard line.

Rodney Woods had touchdown runs of one and six yards, the first giving the Lobos a 21-7 lead at halftime.

Brando McElvaine led Highland (1-5) with 101 yards in 17 carries, including a 17-yard scoring run in the third quarter that cut Littlerock’s lead to 27-14.
