Storm Hits Japan; 11 Die

TOKYO —
Typhoon Zeb cut a destructive swath through Asia, killing dozens and disrupting transportation. It weakened into a tropical storm today as it crossed over the Japanese archipelago and moved over the Sea of Japan.
Eleven people were reported killed in Japan in landslides and weather-related accidents. At least 74 died in the Philippines and 18 in Taiwan.
