Work Begins on Facility for Chatsworth Products

Chatsworth Products, an employee-owned manufacturer of cabinet and rack systems for computers and communications networks, recently broke ground on a 71,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility in the Winnetka Avenue Business Corridor.

The new site, just north of the intersection of Winnetka and Prairie Street, will allow the firm to consolidate its growing work force and accommodate expansion. The company hopes to move in by June.

Chatsworth Products, which will maintain its corporate office in Westlake Village, has grown dramatically since 1991, when 90 employees orchestrated a buyout from the Harris Corp., a Florida-based international communications and electronics company.
