Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a ponytailed gunman with a partly shaved head who shot a man at a Lynwood bar, a spokesman said.
As the gunman arrived at Las Carinosas Bar at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, he entered through the back door riding a brightly colored girl’s bicycle, Deputy John McBride said.
The unidentified victim, who was in his mid-20s, was shooting pool at the bar when the gunman walked up to him and shot him several times in the upper body, McBride said.
“He fled on his bicycle and was last seen driving eastbound on Tweedy [Boulevard] toward South Gate,” McBride said.
The victim was in critical condition at St. Francis Medical Center, McBride said.
He said authorities are looking for a man about 19 years old, with a partly shaved head and shoulder-length ponytail. The man has a tattoo that reads “CV3” on the back of his neck.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact detectives at (323) 890-5500.
