A fire that caused more than $1.2 million in damage to three adult entertainment businesses remained under investigation Monday, according to authorities.

The cause of the blaze has not been determined, said Jim Wells, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire occurred about 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the structure in the 15800 block of Stagg Street near Van Nuys Airport, authorities said.

The firefighters found heavy smoke coming from a one-story, 35-by-40-foot concrete block building in the Mission Business Park, Wells said. It took 80 firefighters about an hour to extinguish the flames.

The damaged property included videotapes and printed material, authorities said.

Most of the damage was sustained by Western Visual, with $750,000 in property and $500,000 in structural loss, Wells said.

Lyndon Distribution sustained about $20,000 in property and $5,000 in structural damage, and Magnetic 21 sustained about $5,000 in structural damage, authorities said.
