* The New York Stock Exchange board approved a measure that would allow certain lawsuits against member firms, such as sexual harassment cases, to be battled out in court instead of being forced into private arbitration.
* Best Buy Co. said its fiscal second-quarter earnings will jump to about 40 cents a share from 7 cents a year ago, more than double forecasts of 18 cents. It cited strong sales of televisions, camcorders and entertainment software.
* Campbell Soup Co. said fiscal fourth-quarter earnings rose 11% to $172.6 million, or 38 cents a diluted share, matching analyst estimates. The company said cost cuts offset a decline of 4.6% in sales to $1.3 billion.
