More on Speeding Reconveyance

In response to the recent discussion on speeding up reconveyance, I wish to offer a different approach.
After waiting for six months to receive our reconveyance from Washington Mutual, we contacted our county supervisor, Zev Yaroslavsky. His assistant, Regina, checked with the county Recorder, who had no record of receiving our deed.
She suggested that we contact the state Department of Consumer Affairs. There I spoke to Nick Aquino of the Real Estate Fraud Division. He helped us out quickly, and we expect to receive our Deed of Reconveyance on our house in four to six weeks.
