A known Oxnard gang member was arrested Monday on suspicion of shooting at three men in a Port Hueneme alley, police said.

Clint Duane Willis, 20, was arrested about 3:30 p.m. at a house in the 3100 block of Paula Street in Oxnard, police said. Willis, who lives in Port Hueneme, was being held on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Bail was expected to be set at $20,000, Port Hueneme Police Sgt. Chris Graham said.

About 11:45 p.m. Saturday, Port Hueneme officers responded to gunshots in the 700 block of Halyard Avenue, Graham said. When officers arrived, they found three Port Hueneme men running from the area.

Brothers Jesus Cardenas, 21, and Jesus Cardenas Jr., 17, and a relative, Manuel Cardenas, 16, were shot at but not injured.

The shootings do not appear to be a gang retaliation, Graham said.

Any witnesses to the shootings are asked to contact Port Hueneme Police Det. Steve Hart at 986-6536.
