OUTLOOK

Holland begins his third season at Laguna Beach still looking for his first victory. His chances are better than ever as the Artists’ entire offensive line will be together for the third consecutive season. Laguna Beach will also return an experienced quarterback in Schissler, a scrambler who also completed more than half his passes (62-123) last season. Loidolt, a returning second-team all-league selection, led the team with 40 receptions last season, including both of Schissler’s touchdown passes. Fournier will present a viable second option for Schissler, and Chesley is expected to handle most of the running chores. Paymard was one of the leading tacklers on the team last season and should make it difficult for opponents to run up the middle. Vizcarra is a two-year starter at outside linebacker and Desmond is another returner that should provide a strong presence on the defensive line. Despite the experience, the Artists still have several underclassmen in starting roles. Because of its youth, Holland says Laguna Beach is still another year away from making any noise in league play.
