From Bloomberg News

Intel Corp. introduced a faster version of its Pentium II computer processor for laptop computers as the world’s largest chipmaker pushes higher-speed chips that use less power.

Dell Computer Corp., the world’s third largest personal computer maker, said it introduced a new laptop with the chip that features a 15-inch monitor and costs just under $3,000.

Intel said the 300 megahertz processor will sell for $637 to $715. The new chip succeeds the 266 MHz Pentium II for mobile computers that came out a few months ago.
