Santa Clara-based Exodus Communications Inc. promoted Ellen Hancock to chief executive, giving the Internet-systems management company a high-profile leader who formerly was Apple Computer Corp.’s chief technology officer. Hancock, 55, became president of Exodus in March. Outgoing Chief Executive K.B. Chandrasekhar, 38, will remain chairman.
