This past Labor Day weekend, Jerry Lewis, corporate America and our country’s citizens helped raise more than $100 million for research to fight muscular dystrophy and aid those suffering from the debilitating disease. Yet I heard no mention of its success on any news show that night or the next day. I couldn’t even find it reported in this paper.
Mr. Lewis, thank you for your courageous battle. It wasn’t only Mark McGwire who hit a homer last weekend.
